Ke Wang is a native Chinese pianist born in 1997 in China. At five, he has dreamed of being a concert pianist. When he was eight, he was selected to attend the Middle School affiliated to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and was the winner of Niu En De Scholarship for Young Pianists. He was also awarded the Student Scholarship of High School in Shanghai multiple times.
Mr. Wang won the first prize of the Sixth Chinese Zhejiang Youth Piano Competition in 2006. In 2011, he won the second prize of the third Liszt International Youth Piano Competition, which provided him with a performance tour in Germany. In Summer 2019, Mr. Wang won the second prize of the third Piano Island Festival Competition in Singapore along with a Bangkok performance prize provided by Steinway pianist Poom Prommachart. He has been invited to perform at the Steinway’s 125th year Anniversary Concert Tour in China, the 2009 Osaka International Music Festival in Japan and the Shanghai Music Conservatory 80th Anniversary Concert. He has also been given opportunities to work with top-class musicians, including multiple collaborations with the conductor, Mr. Muhai Tang and his orchestras.
Mr. Wang has recently accomplished his undergraduate study under Professor Raekallio, and is a candidate for the Master of Music program at the most famous school of music in the world, Juilliard School New York.
